OK so, I started a new LJ a number of months ago

I wanted to escape somewhat from my "cagewench" image or persona or I don't even fucking know really...

I have slowly been adding ppl to that new LJ, and now I figure I might as well tell you all that it's the new LJ that I am sticking with.

There are some of you I still haven't added to the new one yet that I would like to add

But you may well be pissed off at me for not adding you all before now

SO, if you would like to be part of my new LJ, please respond to this post and I will more than likely add you, though there are a few of you I probably won't due to lack of things in common.

***all replies to this post shall be screened***

EDITED TO ADD - please update your LJ friends list if I've added you to my new LJ :>

Cara-Mae,

You may be overwhelmed now as you try to find a balance between getting what you want and letting go of those desires which are not being fulfilled. You have reached a point where you are ready to make changes in order to heal a relationship, but you are disappointed that others won't indulge you unless they can extract a price. Keep your attention on the long-term goals and not the details of the day.

General Daily Overview

With the mentally active New Moon in Gemini at 5:55 pm EDT, we can expect this day to be quite different from what was planned. We are reminded to plant our intellectual seeds and tend them as they grow over the next couple of weeks. We seem more willing to let go of those ideas that have not brought about healthy results in our lives. Additionally, loving Venus is forming an annoying quincunx aspect with
Chiron, the part of each of us that suffers from our human wounds. Forgiveness can set the stage for the growth ahead.

Judge: Parents can't teach pagan beliefs
Father appeals order in divorce decree that prevents couple from exposing son to Wicca.

By Kevin Corcoran
An Indianapolis father is appealing a Marion County judge's unusual order that prohibits him and his ex-wife from exposing their child to "non-mainstream religious beliefs and rituals."

The parents practice Wicca, a contemporary pagan religion that emphasizes a balance in nature and reverence for the earth.

Cale J. Bradford, chief judge of the Marion Superior Court, kept the unusual provision in the couple's divorce decree last year over their fierce objections, court records show.

 Cara-Mae,

Sometimes people don't understand how difficult it is being a Libra. You just want everything to be nice, but of course, life doesn't always measure up to your ideals. You may be struggling now to find a middle path through this obstacle course you've been running. It feels as if you are going too fast or too slow and that you are doing too much or not enough. Adjust your pace often until you find one that works.

On Friday I went straight from work to Club and enjoyed myself with [info]gdb1, [info]n33dhead, Dina and many others. Highlight of the evening was dancing to Divine's "You think you're a man" (which I haven't heard in some time...
pic #1 )

Saturday I once again went to Club after work and the music was surprisingly good compared to some Sat nights and I had fun dancing and socializing with [info]gdb1, [info]needhead, [info]malachi_666, Amos-n-Sara, a recent new Club acquaintance, Sheldon, and many others... plus, [info]miranda21 was out for the first time in AGES and I also got to meet the lovely and charming, [info]scifi_sara. Also, a big blast from the past occurred when I ran into Dale Howie... I met him when I was 16 and dating my 1st bf (Johnny Missel)...

pic #2 )

(as I'm writing this - I think I failed to write about last Sat at Club... wherein I ran into a guy from college who recognized me... it was Firepit Jay...)

Sunday I once again dragged my overly-tired ass to the Club though I wish I would have skipped it since, when [info]gdb1 and I were leaving, we discovered that some drunken fuck had deliberately smashed my passenger side mirror... that's ALL I fucking need right now *GRRR* But I'm going to *try* not to worry about it since Karma will take care of whomever did it.

Anyway, it was an alright night with [info]gdb1, [info]lil_tree_frog, [info]fractured_ego, [info]malachi_666, [info]n33dhead & many others... Though I've heard [info]dj_obi spin much better music/sets and transitions on previous occasions.

I may edit this entry later to add pics... not sure yet...

Just had a big cry... I remember this part of grief from when Dad died... the part where you get incredibly sad because you begin to realize that anyone new who enters your life will never met the loved one's who've passed on.

I have always felt it odd that so many of the people who I consider closest to me never got to know my Dad while he was alive.

And now, that realization is sinking in about Mom...

I have removed close to 20 people from my friends list today, mainly because they don't post or I find I don't read their posts.

This has nothing to do with whether or not I like them... as I do, I jsut find I have far less time to read LJ.

So, it's nothing personal.

(end of FYI update)
